There are things throughout the day that will make sure your photos are better and the day more enjoyable for everyone
Having done many many weddings I know what to expect as the day develops, however wedding day plans rarely go as predicted and that's not a bad thing as you are supposed to get carried through the magical day.. sometimes things have to change, get delayed or moved around..
Please remember to tell your wedding photographer what's changing, if you decide to cut the cake at a different time or to move the time of the first dance that's fine but please tell your photographer immediately. That way he/she will be ready to get the best shot for you..
Mobile phones and guest photos
The world is very different to how it used to be and everyone has a camera on their phone nowadays, this is great and means family and friends have personal photos to remember the day.. however, its a real shame when a guest taking a photo gets in the way of the official photographer.. I've seen examples of camera phones literally all the way along the aisle as the bride and groom walk along and rather than a beautiful picture its just a sea of arms and phones (like the picture on the left ). Lots of couples now have an "unplugged Ceremony" which basically ask guests not to use their phones. This is something that is worth considering.
During couple, group shots, cake cuttings I always give guests ample opportunity to take photos once I have finished.
You have hired a professional, they will do a great job for you, give them the opportunity and trust them.
